WatchDeck Privacy Policy

Last updated October 24, 2026.

This policy explains how WatchDeck (“WatchDeck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit trywatchdeck.com, create or use a WatchDeck account, use our mobile or web applications, contact support, or purchase a subscription. WatchDeck is operated by Software Enabled Logistics LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. Its registered office is 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. For privacy and customer-support requests, email admin@trywatchdeck.com. We act as controller for account, billing, security, and website information. For personal information an organization enters into its vessel workspace, that organization may act as controller and we may act as its processor under the applicable agreement.

How and why we use information

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, our legal bases are performance of our contract, our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for optional advertising, analytics, and device permissions. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Optional audience research

From Profile → Audience & privacy, verified adult members may optionally share household income range in USD, age range, home country and postal code, home marina, vessel type, role, boating frequency, boating budget and discovery source. Every question is optional. Separate research consent also permits counting basic feature categories opened, platform and date. Participation does not affect access or pricing. We do not infer household income from boat value or location, collect general browsing histories, or include vessel names, trip coordinates, documents or workspace text in research events. Research data is stored in Firebase and summarized in a restricted Cloudflare owner dashboard. Demographic cohorts smaller than five respondents are withheld. Feature events expire after 90 days. Answers remain until withdrawal or account deletion. Saving research consent as off erases your optional profile and feature history.

With website analytics consent, our Cloudflare audience collector records public page paths, referring website hostname, sanitized campaign label, approximate network-derived country, region and city, device class, engagement and calls to action. This location indicates the visit, not residence. A random first-party visitor ID is stored for up to 90 days; visitor IDs are hashed in our database and events expire after 90 days. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the audience database. Withdraw analytics consent to request erasure of events associated with the current browser identifier. Clearing browser storage loses that identifier and its erasure link. Older website analytics choices are reset for this new collection.

AI-assisted manual review

If you choose “Generate tasks from manuals,” WatchDeck sends the selected manual content and relevant equipment details—potentially including model and serial numbers—to OpenAI to draft maintenance items. Do not submit material you are not authorized to process. AI output can be inaccurate and must be reviewed against current manufacturer documentation and qualified professional judgment before use.

How we disclose information

We disclose information only as needed to provide and protect WatchDeck, complete transactions, follow your directions, or comply with law. Recipients may include:

We do not sell personal information for money. Where applicable law treats disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising as “sharing,” you may opt out through . We honor recognized Global Privacy Control signals by disabling advertising tracking.

Cookies and similar technologies

Necessary browser storage supports authentication, security, synchronization, and saved preferences. Optional Google Analytics and Meta technologies are not loaded on public marketing pages until you allow the applicable category. Choices expire after 180 days, and Global Privacy Control overrides advertising consent. Withdrawing consent turns off the affected tracking and reloads the page so previously loaded trackers cannot continue running. Optional tracking is also suppressed on URLs containing query parameters or fragments. Microsoft Clarity and Contentsquare session replay are not used in the authenticated WatchDeck web app. See our Cookie Notice.

Retention

We retain account and vessel information while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual records or request account deletion. Account deletion removes owned vessel records and uploads and revokes access to other owners’ vessels. Stripe subscriptions are cancelled; Apple subscriptions must be cancelled in Apple subscription settings. A minimal security tombstone is retained for 30 days to reject stale sessions and delayed billing events. Following deletion, information is removed from active systems subject to technical completion, security records, provider backup lifecycles, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and records needed to document subscriptions or your privacy choices. We retain only what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, opt out of targeted advertising or sale/sharing, and appeal a denied request. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. You may export supported records in WatchDeck, delete your account from Settings → Profile → Delete Account, change browser choices using Privacy choices, or email us.

We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agents should identify the person represented and provide proof of authority. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Security and international transfers

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Contact us for information about the processing locations, applicable transfer safeguards, or a data-processing agreement for organizational use. The availability of WatchDeck worldwide does not mean that every country’s data-residency requirements can be met.

Browser privacy signals

Global Privacy Control disables advertising measurement. We do not use the older Do Not Track header as a separate consent mechanism; our optional categories remain off until you choose to allow them. Other parties may collect information over time and across sites if you allow their advertising technologies on our public marketing pages.

Children

WatchDeck is intended for adults and professional vessel operations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or law changes. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, communicated in the service. Privacy requests and questions may be sent to admin@trywatchdeck.com.
